| The Bahias de Huatulco International Airport is the nearest airport with connections to foreign or country airports. From there, you have to go to La Crucecita or to Bahías de Huatulco, the nearest towns on Mexico’s Bahías de Huatulco tourist development. From there, take the federal highway 200 toward Salina Cruz. Go along for 30 Kilometers until you reach the Zimatan bridge and then, on the west approach to the bridge, turn left and take the dirt road going to Santa María Xadani and la Merced del Potrero. Xadani is 22 kilometers far. The road forks 4 kilometers before arriving Santa Maria Xadani, take the left fork. Immediately after crossing Xadani and its paved center, you will find another fork. Take the one at your right. Follow this road for 4 kilometers until you see another bridge. There is a road to your right along the San Lorenzo river west bank. Just follow it. You’ll pass a small farm called El Mamey where you must take the right fork. From here, Monte Carlo is just 3 kilometers away but the road becomes quite steep. A 4 wheel vehicle is advised. Once you reach the evergreen cool forests, you will see another fork at the bank of a mountain creek. Take the one at your right crossing the creek. Go on a bit more and once you see the red surfaced patios for coffee sun drying in the only plain in miles, you’ll know you’re at home!
